                                                                         Rules and Tech

 THE SERIES
The Speedway Midgets series is the perfect way to satisfy your need for speed and friendly competition. It is a relatively low cost series that is safe and fun. New cars can be purchased as rolling chassis and all the way to a complete ready to race car. Used cars are also available from time to time. Maintenance consists more of cleaning than actual repairing. Race entry fees are $35 to $55 per event. The series is made up of men and woman from 16 to ??? who enjoy racing and the comradary of fellow racers. Between heat races you will find racers helping each other with problems and repairs. If this sounds like something for you come out to a race and check it out for your self or contact us by email.

THE CHASSIS
Chassis are chrome molley tubing for lightweight and strength. All chassis are spec chassis, NO modifications are allowed unless approved by president and/or the racing body. Four wheel suspension with coil over shocks makes handling and adjustments easy. Quick release steering wheels are used for easy access. Five point seat belts and side nets keep drivers safe.

ENGINES AND FUELS
Any 125cc two stroke and any 250cc four stroke using pump and/or racing fuel. All motorcycle engines are off the shelf stock. Carburetors are limited to a Max. 38mm, NO machining of carburetors is allowed, NO mechanical changes can be made. Rejeting and needle jet adjustments are the only changes allowed to the carburetor.

THE SET UP
If you are worried about learning how to set up a car, we will give you a basic set up and help teach you how to make changes like tightening or loosening up the car with changes to tire air pressure, weight changes by adjusting shocks and springs. It is a lot more fun to run against a competitive car, so everyone is willing to help fellow competitors make changes to their car.

THE POINTS

The point system is very simple. Main events are scored with the winner getting 100 points and decreasing by 5 points for each place car after that. Heat races are scored by the number of cars there are at the start, say there is 10 cars, first place car receives 10 points second car receives 9 points and so on.
